Frequently asked questions about Satik

Satik is a server-side address-verification API for Indian delivery workflows. Authenticate with a secret key, send an address, and receive an explainable dispatch verdict. The service is in beta: free and test usage are available, paid checkout is not yet open, and every verdict is address-quality context rather than a guarantee of delivery.

How do I authenticate to the Satik API?

Send a test or live secret key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Store it only in server-side code. Dashboard access uses Google sign-in and is separate from API authentication.

How much does Satik cost?

The Free plan includes 100 monthly verification units. Published paid plans are visible on the pricing page, but paid checkout remains unavailable until billing validation is complete. Test fixtures do not consume live verification quota. See current pricing.

What do SHIP, REVIEW, and VERIFY_FIRST mean?

SHIP means continue normal dispatch checks. REVIEW means inspect a flagged detail such as a missing unit or corrected pincode. VERIFY_FIRST means contact the customer before dispatch. None of the verdicts guarantees delivery.

How long does Satik retain address data?

Original cleaned inputs and derived records have a maximum 13-month retention. Google response payloads and corrected-address response data are removed after 30 days. Batch inputs and results expire after 7 days, and phone hashes after 90 days.

What can I do with a test key?

A test key runs documented fixtures without calling Google or affecting delivery history. Use it to build request handling and UI states. Create a live key when you are ready to verify your own authorized address data.
